Killed Azerbaijani soldier’s grandmother: Comrades undressed him and mocked at him in Mrav Ridge
The body of Aliyev Murad Alizade oglu, an Azerbaijani soldier from the military unit “N,” Goranboy district, found killed earlier, was buried, according to the Azerbaijani website Minval.az.
The website cites the newspaper Azadlig as reporting that the soldier’s mother last spoke with her son on October 4. She said Murad was troubled by something. He had said he had to sleep earlier and asked her to send him mobile payment cards.
“Later, when I called him back, someone else answered and said he was a soldier from the military unit. We had frequently sent payment cards for that number before. He was a reenlistee. Various reasons were told us as why Murad would run away from the military unit: that he had allegedly stolen something, that he had allegedly escaped in the daytime, that he had allegedly run away armed, or that he had allegedly run away after he washed the dishes,” Murad’s mother told Azadlig.
Murad’s grandmother said her grandson had been killed, and his body was not shown to the family. She claims Murad was offended because of the mobile payment. “They beat him. He was a very weak child. They beat and killed him. They said the shell hit only him, while there were 11 guys there. Why don’t they show us our child’s body?” the grandmother asks wailing.
She told Azadlig that Murad told them that once the soldiers had taken him to Mrav ridge, undressed him and mocked at him. “And now, here we have the military gorging themselves and lying. It is not the Armenians who kill, it’s ours!” Murad Adilov’s grandmother stated.
Earlier, there were reports about an Azerbaijani soldier, Aliyev Murad Alizade oglu, found killed in unclear circumstances in Azerbaijan on October 6. The conscript had reportedly left the place of his service willfully. After searches, his body was found on October 9 in the evening. The reason of his death remains unclear.
